Meet The Team

Lucas
The love for triathlon goes back to watching the Ironman World Championships on tv as a kid. My racing journey didn't start until 2017 as a way to improve health. The passion turned into a desire to build the community of the sport and launched the Pacer Tri Club back in 2024.

I began triathlon in 1995 and got hooked. I've done triathlons from sprint to the full Ironman, and have done various other multisport events. The Pacer Endurance Triathlon Club has injected a renewed spirit in me and has been exactly what I needed. While most are trying to get faster, I'm trying not to get slower. I'm looking forward to continuing to have amazing training and racing experiences with this fantastic group of people who inspire me all the time.

My triathlon journey started when my late step-father started doing triathlons in the early 2000s and thought it would be a good fit for me after my collegiate swimming career. I spent several years racing at an elite level before transitioning to focus on family and career. I have recently reentered the triathlete life but focus on shorter distances in order to have time to juggle the rest of my busy life. I love the diversity and team environment that triathlons bring. I enjoy being on Pacer Endurance Sports because of the team training and support it provides. The Pacer team does a great job creating a warm and welcoming community for triathletes of all levels!

I found triathlon in 2023 after completing a marathon and being sick of running 5-6 days/week. I signed up for Ironman 70.3 Michigan without ever biking or swimming. Luckily, I loved every minute of the process and training. My next goal is IM Ottawa in August of this year.

I’ve been racing triathlons since 2023 after a lifelong soccer career and a friend introduced me to the sport as a new competitive outlet. I quickly fell in love with the challenge, winning my age group and setting a PR within my first 10 races. My current goal is a sub-1:15 sprint, with a future ambition of tackling a full-distance triathlon.

My interest in Triathlons started in my senior year of high school when I first heard what an Ironman was. I've been training on and off for the sport since 2020, but my love for the sport and consistency grew in 2024 when training for my first full, and connecting better with the Pacer Team!

My triathlon journey started in 2023 after signing up for a sprint race with my wife. I was new to endurance sports but I love doing hard things and strive to be an example to my three children. I completed an Ironman last year with my future goal of improving race times. I have already accomplished more than I ever thought I could and am excited for more.

Frank
A former water polo player with nearly 3 decades of competitive experience in Germany. I hung up my goggles and traded the pool deck for the pavement after moving to the U.S. in 2014. While I picked up running in 2018, I missed the camaraderie of a squad. Finding this triathlon team has been the perfect bridge between my lifelong love of competitive sports and my new goal of finishing a full-distance triathlon.

My love for triathlons started from watching my parents do them as a young kid. I dabbled in the kids tri’s back in the day but have recently come back to the sport. My goal this year is to complete my first Ironman 70.3. I love pushing myself and seeing how far I’ve come.
